WHAT READER ARE SAYING

"Analyzing the Prescotts" takes the reader on an emotional journey as we follow a family imploding. Dawn Reno Langley artfully explores gender identity and, through her storytelling, shows us our heart is what matterthat most. With a twist at the end I did not see coming, Langley offers a glimpse into what the best of humanity can be.

I read this book and didn’t want to put it down. It skillfully follows the psychoanalysis of a fractured family dealing with a shocking revelation. Written in the therapist’s point of view, it is fascinating to read. I hope there is a sequel.

Each of the characters in The Mourning Parade captures the heart, especially the ellies. A beautifully powerful story about love, loss, and the bonds of motherhood.

Why I Wrote This Book

Dawn Reno Langley · Author, Fulbright Scholar, TEDx Speaker

A forbidden romance between a wealthy German banker suspected of being an arms dealer (Nicholas Ellison/aka Nicholas Ellsberg) and an American photo-journalist, Dakota Rabinowitz, Foxglove tells the tale of how their relationship disrupts their lives and their futures. This suspenseful adventure takes two long-time friends–Dakota Rabinowitz, photographer, and Iris Bell, journalist–around the world, through a web of intrigue woven by a man who changes their lives in more ways than they could possibly imagine.

I wrote Foxglove because I wanted to explore the friendship between two very different women, a friendship that rises above race, religion, and the changes caused by the passage of time. I’ve always loved thrillers, but most of them are populated by men. Placing two women in the lead roles gave me the latitude to build powerful female role models who were human beings caught up in their personal lives while digging into one of the most dangerous stories they would cover as journalists.
